The Real Barrier
Eligibility was never the problem.

You're eligible for funding you've never heard of.
Eligibility isn't the barrier. Awareness and bandwidth are.

The portals are built for grant departments you don't have.
SAM.gov registration, UEI numbers, indirect cost rate agreements: full-time work for an office of one and a half people.

Winning the grant is the easy half.
Reporting, drawdowns, and audit readiness run for years after the check clears. Most partners are gone by then.

Who We Serve
Churches. K–12 schools. Universities. Faith organizations and faith-based nonprofits.
We work with organizations that have outgrown ad hoc grant-seeking: a church finance committee that needs documentation, a school development office of one and a half people, a campus ministry or department working outside the university's grants office, a nonprofit whose mission is too specific for a generic template. If that's your organization, see how the engagements actually run.
What We Are
A different kind of partner.
- 01
The whole lifecycle. Not a document.
From readiness through post-award compliance, we stay for every stage, not just the proposal.
- 02
From inside the church world. Not consulting it.
Our team has run church budgets and sat on church boards. We're not translating your world secondhand.
- 03
We hand you the capability, too.
Every engagement builds your own team's readiness for the next cycle, not only this one.
Ready When You Are
Not sure which stage you're in?
Readiness, research, application, or post-award compliance: every engagement starts with a plain conversation about where you actually are.

Questions Worth Asking
What leaders ask before they call.
What does Exousia Group do for churches?
We help churches find, apply for, and steward funding so ministry can keep growing. That includes finding grants that fit your mission, writing and submitting applications, building the budgets and supporting documents funders ask for, and walking with you through reporting once an award comes in. We work with faith-based organizations, community development groups, and educational ministries, so we understand how a church actually runs.
Can a church really receive grant funding?
Yes. Many churches qualify for funding, especially when they run programs that serve the wider community, such as food pantries, youth programs, counseling, and job training. Some grants are also open to houses of worship specifically, like security funding. A church does not need to water down its identity to qualify. It needs to describe its work clearly and show who it serves.
We are a small congregation with a small staff. Is grant work realistic for us?
It is, and it is often why churches call us. Most pastors and ministry teams have no spare hours for a 40-page application. We take on the research, writing, and paperwork so your leaders can keep shepherding people. You stay involved in the parts only you can speak to, like your story, your people, and your vision.
What kinds of grants do you help with?
We help with federal, state, local, foundation, and corporate funding. A common example is the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP), which helps houses of worship strengthen the safety of their buildings and congregations. We also support funding for community programs, facility needs, education initiatives, and capacity building.
Do you help with security grants like NSGP?
Yes. These applications are detailed and competitive. They require a vulnerability assessment, specific project descriptions, accurate facts about each location, and careful budgeting. If your church has more than one campus, we write each site on its own facts, because what is true at one location is not automatically true at another.
What do you need from us to get started?
Usually your legal name and EIN, proof of nonprofit or tax-exempt status, a short description of your ministry and programs, recent financial information, and a clear idea of what you would like to fund. If you are still figuring that last part out, we can help you discern it.
Do we have to be a registered nonprofit?
Most grants require some form of recognized nonprofit status. Churches are generally treated as tax-exempt, but many funders and government programs still ask for specific registrations and documentation. We will tell you early what is missing and help you get it in order.
How long does the process take?
It depends on the funder. Some foundation applications can be prepared in a few weeks. Government grants take longer because of registrations, required assessments, and strict deadlines. The earlier you reach out, the more options you have, so please do not wait until a deadline is days away.
Can you guarantee we will win funding?
No honest consultant can, and we will not promise it. Funders make their own decisions and competition is real. What we can promise is careful work, accurate and compelling applications, and a clear read on which opportunities are the best fit for your church.
How is your writing different from what we could do ourselves?
Grant writing is its own craft. We tell your story in a warm, human voice and still meet the technical standards funders expect. We do not bury your ministry in jargon. We help reviewers see the lives being changed and trust that you will use the money well.
How do you charge for your services?
Our fees depend on the size and complexity of the project, and we are happy to talk through options on a short call. We do not charge based on a promise of winning, and we are always upfront about costs before work begins.
Will you help after the award comes in?
Yes. Winning the grant is the beginning of the responsibility. We can help with award paperwork, spending guidelines, record keeping, and the required reports, so your church stays in good standing and is ready for the next opportunity.
How do we get started?
Reach out to schedule a conversation. We will listen to your vision, look at your needs, and tell you honestly whether grant funding is a good path and where to begin.

There is more funding available than your ministry will ever pursue.
When you’re ready, one conversation is enough to know if we’re the right long-term partner.
